On September 25, the "On-site Observation Meeting on the Demonstration of Green Pesticide Application Achievements in the Chaohu Basin First-class Protected Area", jointly hosted by the Anhui Provincial Plant Protection and Inspection Station, the Plant Protection College of Anhui Agricultural University and the Plant Quality and Safety Institute of the Anhui Academy of Agricultural Sciences, was held in Shunli, Xisong Village, Tongyang Town, Chaohu City, Anhui Province.

More than 20 plant protection experts from Anhui Provincial Plant Protection Station, Anhui Agricultural University, Anhui Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Hefei City, Chaohu City, Feixi County, Feidong County, Lujiang County and other county and city plant protection stations, in the experimental rice fields, tested the effect of the tested 8 billion spores/ml Metarhizium anisopliae 421 oil suspension agent (produced by Chongqing Julixin Bioengineering Co., Ltd.) on the control of major pests in rice, We have made careful field observation and scientific evaluation.

After field observation, the experts listened to the analysis report of the test results by researcher Zhao Youwen of Chaohu Plant Protection Station.

The project was organized and implemented by Chaohu Plant Protection Station. The paddy field in Xisong Village, Tongyang Town, Chaohu City was selected for experimental demonstration to test the whole-process control effect of Metarhizium anisopliae 421 on the main pests of rice, Chilo suppressalis, rice leaf roller and rice planthopper, and Jinggang. Azyridine on the main diseases of rice, such as sheath blight, rice false smut, rice blast and bacterial stripe disease. In order to establish a green and safe "Chaohu Lake Basin Primary Protection Zone" to screen green biological pesticides and provide technical and product support for pesticide reduction and efficiency enhancement.

The test mainly focused on biological pesticides, with safe and low-toxicity chemicals, which were applied twice on July 30 (the end of tillering) and August 17 (the break period). The rice insect pest situation was investigated on August 13 (14 days after the first application) and September 10 (24 days after the second application, the waxy stage of rice).

The test results show that:

(1) Treatment 1: the effect of controlling borers (stem borer, Chilo suppressalis) by using Metarhizium anisopliae 421 (80 ml/mu) alone is 100%, and the ear protection rate is 79%; The control effect of brown planthopper was 99.1%.

(2) Treatment 2: Reduce the quantity of Metarhizium anisopliae 421+Kang Kuan (40ml/mu+5ml/mu), the effect of controlling the borer (Chilo suppressalis and Chilo suppressalis) is 100%, and the ear retention rate is 93.5%; The control effect of brown planthopper was 88.9%.

The experts at the meeting expressed great satisfaction with the effect of Metarhizium anisopliae 421 on controlling rice pests, and suggested that the rice yield should be measured subsequently to further supplement and prove the superiority of biological pesticides.

Metarhizium anisopliae 421, as a fungus-type biological insecticide, was listed as the recommended product for major pest control of rice by the National Agricultural Technology Center for four consecutive years from 2018 to 2021 (Nongjiabao [2018] No. 7, Nongjiabao [2019] No. 17, Nongjiabao [2020] No. 40, Nongjiabao [2021] No. 20), and was listed as the recommended pesticide by many provinces and cities.
